I have been a math teacher
for over 15 years.

And in that time I have worked with students who learn in all kinds of ways. Students who are visual. Students who need to talk it out. Students who shut down the moment they feel stuck. I have seen it all, and I meet every single one of them exactly where they are.

I am also an executive function coach, which means I work with the whole student, not just the math. We work on focus, organization, how to approach a hard problem without panicking, and how to reflect on what is actually going well. I weave in humor and genuine connection because learning happens when students feel safe and seen.

Every session ends with a celebration of what your student did well. Growth is not just about fixing gaps. It is about seeing progress and believing in it.
